St. James' Prayer Chain
NOTE: This page is authorized by the Rector of St. James', Reverend Stephen Hendry.

A prayer chain is made up of several people who pray, on a daily basis, particularly for people who are sick, or have other serious problems. One person on the chain receives the names of those in need of prayer and then passes them on by phone or email to 1 or 2 other members of the chain who subsequently pass the names on to the next person on the chain, continuing till all the members of the Prayer Chain have all the names of those to be prayed for.

We have a prayer chain here at St. James' consisting of Joan Elson (coordinator), Dawn McClelland, Edith Arrowsmith, Marjorie Brown, Willa Pierce, Frances Lainson, Teresa Catherwood and Joyce Hendry. We get together from time to time for an evening of fellowship, sharing and yes . . . praying.
